VOTE PAKRAT – USA TODAY – A Community Thrives Project Grants

A Community Thrives (ACT) enables community members to act on ideas that improve the people, organizations, government, and businesses around them by equipping them with the resources they need to thrive.

Support LEAF by voting for PAKRAT daily in USA TODAY’s “A Communtiy Thrives Project.”  Judges will award three grants per category; (2) $50,000 and (1) $100,000, towards supporting your charity and idea.

Partners And Kids Reading Alot Together (PAKRAT)
PAKRAT is a Preschool-Grade 3 child literacy and parent involvement program. It was originally started by a District teacher and expanded to all preschool through grade 3 students in our district. A summer PAKRAT component has been added so needy students can access quality literature year-round. A grant would help us provide books and cover the costs of running a summer PAKRAT bus to all elementary attendance areas in our 240 square mile district. Read more about PAKRAT
