April is “Homelessness Student Awareness” month. Every day, students experiencing homelessness face the daunting task of focusing on a quality education while worrying about he basic needs of reliable food, clothing and shelter.

LEAF Receives $10,000 to Support Students Experiencing Homelessness.
The District 742 Local Education & Activities Foundation (LEAF) announced that it has received two $5,000 grants in support of District 742 homeless youth and their families. The grants have been made through the support of the Central Minnesota Community Foundation COVID-19 Response Fund and from the United Way of Central Minnesota COVID Relief Fund.
LEAF SUPPORTS HOMELESS STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES
Every day, homeless students face the daunting task of trying to focus on a quality education while worrying about the basic needs like reliable source of food, clothing and shelter.
Since 2014, LEAF has been supporting District 742 students facing homelessness through our Homeless Student Services Fund. The need is even greater during the COVID-19 pandemic. Can you help us help students in need?
