LEAF Selects New Executive Director

Dear Friends of LEAF,

As many of you are aware, Bruce Hentges, who has been with LEAF for over 30 years and has been our Executive Director since 2008, is retiring.  We have conducted a thorough search process to find his replacement with some criteria such as experience with non-profit organizations, passion for public education, and knowledge of the St. Cloud community.  This past Monday, our Board of Directors approved the search committee’s unanimous choice, Natalie Copeland.

Natalie meets all our criteria. She most recently was the executive director of Unite Cloud and serves on the District 742 School Board. She is excited to serve as our leader, and we are excited to have her join us.   She will be working with Bruce during the next few weeks of transition.

We wanted you, our generous donors, to be among the first to know.  We hope you join us in welcoming Natalie to our organization. Transitions can take some time, especially after a leader has been in the position for as long as Bruce has, but we are confident LEAF will continue to thrive under Natalie’s leadership.

A Meet and Greet for Natalie, paired with a farewell for Bruce is being planned for later April.  We will inform you of those details once they are arranged.  Thank you for all you do for LEAF and the students of District 742.
