LEAF 742 Volunteer Service Award, Grandpa John Bowden

John or “Grandpa John” as the staff and students at Talahi call him, has given so much to the school through his volunteer hours, grant writing, and care for our students. John has brought in more grants to Talahi than we can count. From trees to robots to dance, art, and singing lessons to an entire new playground, John has brought our students the experiences that they will remember long after their time at Talahi is done. However, if you ask John about his accomplishments, he will redirect the conversation or tell you about one of the amazing scholars that he tutors in reading and math during his time as a foster grandparent. 

John, on behalf of the Talahi students, families, and staff, we thank you and congratulate you on this well-deserved award.
