LEAF Receives $500 Gift from “5 Under 40” winners and Falcon Bank

LEAF Homeless Student Services Fund to receive a $500 Gift

For the second year in a row, the winners of the “5 Under 40” awards have chosen LEAF and the LEAF Homeless Student Services Fund to receive the $500 charitable Gift that goes with their award.  LEAF is proud to accept this cash award and will use it to provide assistance to Homeless students in District 742 to help them overcome the disadvantages of homelessness.  On Wednesday, February 8, LEAF executive director Bruce Hentges was interviewed on by “Ox” Oxner of KNSI radio with John Herges, President of Falcon National Bank and one of the sponsors of the “5 Under 40” program, and two of the “5 Under 40” award winners;  Kate Hanson and Ryan Gerads. Interestingly, Hudda Ibrahim who will be joining the LEAF Board on February 20, was also one of the “5 Under 40” winners – congrats Hudda!
