LEAF 742 Celebrates Historic ‘Adopt a Classroom’ Success
For the First Time in Program History, 100% of Applicants Receive Support, with $69,000 Raised for District 742 Classrooms.
The District 742 Local Education & Activities Foundation (LEAF) is celebrating a historic milestone in its Adopt a Classroom program. For the fi rst time since the program began in 2011, every teacher who applied was matched with a donor. Thanks to the generosity of individuals, businesses, and community organizations, 264 teachers received a combined $69,000 in classroom support this year.
Through Adopt a Classroom, donors contribute $250 or more to support a classroom in St. Cloud Area School District 742. One hundred percent of each donation goes directly to teachers, helping them purchase materials, supplies, and educational experiences that enrich student learning.
“This donation provides hands-on experiences that spark curiosity, inspire creativity, and help my students see themselves as future scientists, engineers and problem solvers,” said Alissa Keil, a science teacher at Kennedy Community School. “You are investing in more than classroom materials, you are investing in their confi dence, opportunities, and future.”
This year’s achievement refl ects the extraordinary generosity of the St. Cloud area community and its commitment to public education. LEAF extends its heartfelt appreciation to every donor who helped ensure that no teacher who applied was left unmatched.
