I’m so glad that now I am a part of LEAF
This year LEAF will feature blogs from our Board members and volunteers sharing why they give their time and talents in service to District 742 students. Today’s blog is from Sharon Botz, our LEAF Board President.
I encountered LEAF while my daughters were a part of the “Night of the Stars” event in their Junior High and High School Careers. Little did I know at the time how much LEAF was supporting the District 742 Education programs – and the families of our community. From supporting homeless students to providing athletic shoes for those students who needed them for their activities, I have discovered that the LEAF organization has developed an excellent support system for all 742 students and a well-deserved reputation within the District 742 community.
My children received an excellent education via District 742. From elementary school at Lincoln to middle school at South Junior High to graduating from high school at Tech High School, I witnessed their education and was very proud of their achievements during their school careers and beyond. District 742 teachers, leaders, and volunteers helped my children to receive an excellent education, and I am very thankful for all they did to make that possible.
I’m so glad that now I am a part of LEAF and I get to witness firsthand all the many different programs they financially support for District 742. I look forward to continuing my relationship with the people and programs of LEAF!
