Helping Students in Crisis: LEAF’s Homeless Students Fund

Every child deserves the chance to succeed in school, but for more than 1,000 students in District 742 each year, housing instability makes that an uphill battle. Without reliable access to food, clothing, school supplies, or safe shelter, focusing on education can feel impossible.

LEAF’s Homeless Students Fund was created to bridge that gap. Since 2014, we’ve partnered with District 742’s Student Services staff and school social workers to provide direct, immediate support to students experiencing homelessness. From crisis housing to warm winter clothing, nutritious meals, and essential school supplies, your donations help meet basic needs so students can stay focused on learning.
