Tech Tiger Scramble

2017 Tech Athletics Golf Scramble

Thanks to a great group of nearly 150 golfers, generous sponsors, and a beautiful day for golf, the 2017 Tech Athletics Golf Scramble was another great success!  The tournament provided a net of nearly $8,000 in direct funding for the Tech athletics program and nearly $9,000 for the LEAF Tech Athletics Legacy Fund.  That Legacy Fund now stands at over $70,000 and returns 5% annually to the Tech Athletics Program! 2017 Tech Golf Tourney Summary

A special thanks to our generous sponsors! This Tech Tradition would not be possible without your support.

Tech Tiger Scramble Focuses on Students

With almost 100 years of history at St. Cloud Tech High School, it is not surprising that alumni, teachers, coaches and community members come out each summer to support Tech students during the Tiger Scramble Golf Tournament.  Celebrating the 9th annual fundraiser on Friday, August 11, the Tiger Scramble, sponsored by Schluchter Financial Advisors, welcomes 150 participants who come together to show their commitment to Tech Athletics and the importance of student involvement.  This event is held at the Wapicada Golf Club and the focus for the day is very simple: support Tech students and have fun while doing it.

The Tiger Scramble features a number of unique contests throughout the course hosted by current athletes.  In addition, the St. Cloud community has been extremely supportive of this event and following the August tournament, almost $100,000 will have been raised to support Tech Activities.  Proceeds from this event are divided between current Tech needs and the newly created Tech Activities Endowment Fund.  Through the support of LEAF, we reached our first goal a year ahead of schedule and created the Tech Activities Endowment Fund.  This fund now provides additional revenue to Tech each Spring and we on our way towards our second goal of growing the Tech Endowment to $100,000 by 2020.

If you would like to be a part of this Tech tradition as a participant or sponsor, please do not hesitate to contact Paul Muller at This email address is being protected from spambots. The Tech TIger Scramble is the largest single fundraising event for Tech Activities.  The Tiger Scramble allows you to create 5-person teams and there will be a shotgun start at 12:00 noon.

The cost of each participant is just $110, which includes 18 holes of golf with cart or student caddie, range balls, food and soft drinks/health drinks on the course, many individual contests, door prizes, and a special dinner/social following golf.  All proceeds from this fundraiser are divided between an endowment for Tech Athletics (LEAF Foundation) and funding immediate needs within the Activities area.  Those who are not able to join the golf tournament are always encouraged to come out for the evening social to create new memories with old friends.
